Sunday Sunday Sunday

Hey friends.

Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Pretty sure I've mentioned that before. I had a fun day goofing off with the husband. We got lunch at one of our favorite places, Genghis Grill. YUM. After lunch we saw the new movie Chronicle. It was pretty awesome.

These three high school boys get telekinetic powers and stuff starts to hit the fan. The main character is played so well. And it doesn't hurt that in the closeups, he's a dead ringer for young Leonardo. Swoon. The whole movie is fun to watch and somewhat haunting. The end scene had my heart racing! You'll be thinking about it long after the credits roll.

After the movie we hopped over to Game Stop and Chris bought Dance Central for me and Kaylen! I'm so excited! I played for an hour and half straight and LOVE it. THAT's exercise that I can handle! I can't dance though. It's pitiful. But it's so much fun!

Tomorrow night we're going to this little local Italian restaurant for my grandmother's birthday. Not Maw's but Nana's. She's turning 76 I believe and is healthy as a horse. So that gives me something to look forward to on a Monday! Don't you love when that happens?

Let Me Call You Sweetheart

Hello all! Let me tell you about my Valentines Day! My wonderful husband outdid himself. At work, a lady in the office said she needed to speak to me. I thought maybe I broke the copy machine. She told me to have a seat. Then four men in matching suits walked in and here ya go!....

YES! I got a personal serenade at the office! Of course I cried like an idiot. Some of my coworkers were in on it and got video and pictures. I'm so glad they did! Here's a link to my FB so you can see the video. Who even THINKS to do that?! I called Chris right after and said "you da MAN!!"
Like I said, I told him weeks ago to plan our evening and surprise me. We had dinner at an upscale restaurant in Birmingham, Metro Prime Steakhouse. Oh Em Gee. (Can't believe I just did that.) It was amazing. Crab cakes and twice baked mashed potatoes for me and a New York strip and lobster mac and cheese for Chris. I could bathe in those mashed potatoes they were so incredible.
I love having a husband who's always trying to top himself! After all that hoopla it made the timex watch and Valentine boxers I got him look ridiculous. =)

I haven't posted since the Grammy's so here's few quick thought:
-I have a little crush on Bruno Mars.
-I thought the Whitney Houston deal was handled very well for SUCH short notice. And Jennifer Hudson's tribute gave me chills.
-I went into a facebook rant about Taylor Swift doing her usual stupid "I can't believe it" face when she got yet ANOTHER standing ovation after her performance. She irks me. I DID however enjoy her face when she did NOT get the award she was up for.
-How many Catholics hate Niki Manaj now? She's ridiculous.
-I was so hoping Chris Brown would never win another award as long as he lives. Dang.
-Katy Perry has my vote for Best Dressed. Blue Hair and all.

Decisions, decisions...

Hi. I'm so very thankful it's Friday. I've had a truly bad week. This is all I want to do at the moment:
No one touch me. No one talk to me. Just let me be.

But I have to work. And I have a birthday dinner to go to tonight. Such is life.

I realized something about myself yesterday. I hate making decisions. Any kind of decision. Which house do I want to buy? Stressful decision. Do I want Ranch or 1000 Island on my Cobb salad? Stressful decision. Lately I've been telling Chris "just pick and surprise me'. For Valentine's Day he was a good husband and made reservations at a nice restaurant of his choosing like I told him to. And he won't tell me where it is. Fine with me! I was freaking out last night because I couldn't decide how I wanted to do our taxes. Should we file married or single? Ugh. I HATE making decisions because I'm terrified of making the WRONG one. I have to wonder if all of this is coming on because of the house. More than likely.

Anyway, I AM excited about shopping tomorrow. I haven't been in a while and I want some new long sleeve shirts for Gatlinburg (in 35 days). Some like this:

I'm going to make it my goal to actually FIND the turquoise shirt at Forever 21. My fave color. By the way, did anyone else know that Nicole Linkleter, one of the winners of America's Next Top Model, is a apparently a Forever 21 model now? Neither did I, til I was surfing the site and there she was!
But, yes, we're going to Gatlinburg in 35 days I'm ready to go tomorrow. It's for Kaylen's graduation trip and it'll be the first time we've all gone as one big family since I married Chris. I love Gatlinburg. My favorite city. And it's kind of special to us. The night after Chris asked me to be his girlfriend we spent the day there. I even remember the exact t-shirt shop we slow danced to Usher in. Haha. Not to mention it's where we honeymooned. Le sigh.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and a better week next week!

Yesterday I started the Body by Vi challenge. It's day 2 and I'm, you guessed it, pumped! My fellow former Hooters girl, Laura uses it and is a distributor. She kept talking about and other people started talking about so I got curious! It's a program with different options for people with different health and fitness goals. In my kit that came in the mail Friday, I have enough Body by Vi Nutritional Mix to substitute two meals a day for shakes for 1 month. I've had four so far and all four have been great. I just had the best yet for lunch. A basic fruit shake with strawberries, pineapple and banana. And this morning was chocolate peanut butter cup. Yes. Chocolate peanut butter cup. I feel like I can do this! The only downside is washing the blender over and over. Ha. Small price to pay.

The house hunting is still going. Chris is really liking one that's a steal of a price but would need a lot of work. We took another look at it with the family and David Thursday night. I got so overwhelmed looking at what needed to be fixed and appliances that would need to be bought and doing the math in my head of how much it would all cost. It took everything I had not to just cry. Tomorrow we're looking at a home that's an ideal location, great size and little pricier. From the pictures it looks well taken care of. All if would need would be paint. So what to do? An already awesome house with a larger monthly payment or a house that has potential to be awesome and a cheap payment but needs TLC and a good chunk of change to fix'er up?

I have made ONE decision though. When we get a house the kitchen will look like this:

White cabinets and turquoise walls.

God bless pinterest.
