Perfect Night In Swap!

I cannot tell you how excited I was when I came home to find my first ever swap box!  Linny and Amber (also the masterminds behind Ten on Tuesday) paired me up with Wendy from Our Happily Ever After.  I had so much fun shopping for her items to make a perfect night in and she definitely did not disappoint!
Perfect Night In Swap
Wendy was so detailed!  The envelope was even sealed with a cupcake sticker.
Perfect Night In Swap
I LOVED the chevron and anchor wrapping paper.  It was so pretty I hated to open it...
Perfect Night In Swap
...but not really.  I tore into that!  Great minds must think alike because we bought each other the same magazine.  Ha.
I had in my box of goodies:
-A Cosmo mag
-A 3 DVD comedy set (hubs will love her forever)
-A bag of cheddar popcorn (already half eaten by the husband and I)
-Some M&M snack mix
-And even two toys for the kids!  One of which being catnip mice, their favorite.

Checking out their new toy.

Gus went completely Gollum over the catnip mouse.  Clearly.
Thank you so much, Wendy, for making my first blog swap so awesome.  The husband and kitties thank you too!
And thank you to Lin and Amber for putting it all together for all of us!

Gus was super stoked.

Influenster Sugar n' Spice VoxBox

Here's what was in the box of goodies:

Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes:
$5.99 for 10 count box.
The first thing I noticed was the scent.  Not exactly pleasant to me, but bearable.  It made my face feel smooth and clean but hardly moisturized.  I did like that each towelette is individually wrapped.  Very convenient.

Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturizer Total Moisture:
$7.99 for 6.5 oz. can.
Nice subtle fragrance. It left my arms smooth but not as moisturized as I would have liked.

belVita Breakfast Biscuits:
$3.69 for a box of 5 packets of 4 biscuits.
I was pleasantly surprised! Good tasting! I like that there are 4 biscuits in a pack instead of the usual 2. I ate them around 8 and they actually kept me full until noon.

Nectresse sweetener:
$6.99 for 5.9 oz. container.
Not so sweet for me.  But I like a LOT of sweet.  I had to put four packets (each packet 2 teaspoons) in my cup of coffee to get it half as sweet as I usually take it.
The Colgate Optic White Regimen:
$2.99 for 4 oz. tube.
Liked the fresh taste and it's just the right amount of "foamy".
Nothing special.  It's a toothbrush.  I did think the outside bristles were a bit uncomfortable but not enough to make me stop using it.
$2.99 for 8 oz. bottle.
Did NOT like the mouthwash.  The taste is overwhelming and burns almost on contact.  And it only gets worse.  The label says to use for 60 seconds.  I barely made it 30.  It irritated my gums and left a foamy residue on my teeth.

I really enjoyed testing out the products and can't wait to get my next VoxBox!

(I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.)

Ten on Tuesday - Happy Dances, Disney Princesses, and Pickled Cats

1. Short work week this week! Woo hoo!

2. God bless Spotify. Amen.

3. The little girl in me thinks its super cool that Cinderella and I got married at the same age.

4. I added one of those annoying captcha things to my comment section.  (I know, I know.) I did after I momentarily panicked when I accidentally published two VERY inappropriate spam comments.  No I do not need to know about Asian male enhancement, thank you very much.

5. Story of my middle school life:

 6. DWTS?  After we watched Kelli and Dereck I told Chris, "there's your winner!".

7. If I could find a swimsuit this cute I'd never wear a two-piece again:

8. It's been at least two weeks since I had a cakester.  This makes me sad.

 9. Lauren and I laughed at this forever!  And the more you look, the funnier it gets:

10. I left off a Chris quote on my last post: "You can't drink Kristen Stewart pretty."

That Time I Forced Chris to Watch Breaking Dawn

To be fair, I didn't force him.  It was in exchange for him ordering a $50 pay per view the other week (because 50 bucks for a pay per view is ridiculous).  He said he would do anything to be able to order it.  I'm surprised by how quickly I came up with the exchange.  I smiled and said "I know what you have to have to watch BOTH Breaking Dawns with me...back to back."  He started to say "I don't really need to see this pay per view" but changed his mind.  He's seen Twilight through Eclipse and hated all three, not that I blame him.  The movies are abominations.  I told him to look on the bright side and that after he watches these two there will never be anymore!
So guess what we did last night!  That's right.  We sat on the couch and watched Breaking Dawn Part 1 AND Breaking Dawn Part 2.  He got to witness every cheesy, badly acted, Bella twitching moment.  I told him to think of it as a bonding experience for the two of us.
These are just a few of the things that came out of his mouth.  And all of this was the first movie alone:
-Dixie just got off the couch.  The cats don't even want to watch this.
-I'll gladly do chores right now.  I'll join a damn gym right now.
-Don't EVER say ANYTHING about me watching wrestling EVER again.
-And WHY didn't this sweep the Oscars?
-Don't they have a couch to 5K program?  Put this movie on.  Everybody would get off the couch and join.
-Good.  She's dead.  Roll Credits.

My husband REALLY loves me.

Encouragement for the 20-Somethings Freaking Out About Life

In the blogosphere I'm seeing a lot of 20-somethings questioning their lives and having mini panic attacks if they haven't reached some milestone typical of your 20's.

I'm not married yet.
I don't own my own home yet.
I don't have a 6 figure salary yet.
I don't have 2.5 kids yet.

I'm guilty of it too!  But dear ladies, remember, no matter what you don't have or what you haven't yet accomplished...

...You're still doing better than 26 year old Lindsay Lohan.

I hope I've helped.
Have a fabulous weekend, girls!

Girl Crush: Ivanka Trump

Chris and I have started watching the new season of Celebrity Apprentice.  I like getting to see the stars out of their element and in competition with one another.  And I like when the the Trump kids get involved!  They're kind of fascinating to me.  Always so polished and put together and actually very nice.
But to me (and hubby) Ivanka Trump always steals the show.
Ivanka Trump in the boardroom

EVERYTIME I see her in the boardroom one word comes to mind: Goddess.  One of us always says at least once during each show that she couldn't possibly be anymore perfect if she tried.
Ivanka Trump in the boardroom
She's smart, beautiful, and always always always classy.  She never has a temper, even when some egomaniac is pitching a fit in the boardroom.  She's always calm, collected and knows exactly what to say.  When she had her first child she gave her the name Arabella Rose.  Of course she would have an awesome baby name!  I'll bet this woman has never burped in her life.  If she did it would probably smell like lavender.
Ivanka Trump
And she's a Daddy's Girl.  Nothing wrong with that!

Ten on Tuesday - DWTS, JGL, and Cats...Go Figure

1. I sent off my first ever swap package yesterday and I cannot WAIT to get mine!

2. I'm a fan (I can hear you judging me through the computer screen), but this is funny.

3. Who watched DWTS last night?!  Right now I'm liking Derek and Kellie.  Poor D.L. Hugely.  And I'm still mad that they didn't put my Tristan with someone young and hot.

4. Haha!

5. I'm 25, out of the house and married and I am still a spoiled rotten Daddy's girl.  Thanks for the AE top and jeans, Dad.  =)

 6. Why did I not think of this?

  7. I got invited to do AirWalk this weekend.  Has anyone ever done this?  The way I understand it it's just a huge room of trampoline floors and they somehow make it into a workout.  I'm excited and scared all at the same time.  This could go horribly, horribly wrong for me.

8. Next week is a 4-day work week and I am SO happy about it.

9. It makes me bat crap crazy every time I get a spam comment.  I'm getting them more and more!  Anyone else?

10. Oh, cats...

Link up with Linny and Amber to play along and have a FABULOUS week!

Letters to Me

Could you hang some pictures on the walls or something?
I'm feeling very...naked.
Thanks in Advance,
Your Walls

I need you to take a step back and realize you haven't touched a piano in three years and haven't had a lesson in fifteen before you attempt Beethoven again.  It's not pretty.
Your New Piano.
PS.  I look stunning in the dining room if I do say so.

We could use some color before you wear shorts this spring.  Go to Wal-Mart and invest in some tanning lotion.  But that Jergens natural glow stuff.  Not REAL tanning lotion.  We don't want a repeat of the 7th grade instant tan tragedy.
-Your Legs

I'm sorry I looked stupid on you.  It just wasn't meant to be.
The Hot Pink tank at AE you really wanted.

Forever Young

I am so OVER worrying about getting older.

I've decided I'm not going to fret over aging anymore and no matter how old I get (and Lord willing, it's OLD) I'm going to be forever young!

Have a wonderful weekend!

If Google implodes and ceases to exsist, I'm now on Bloglovin!  It seems the blog world is in panic mode this morning.

I realize that Google Reader is NOT the same as Google Friend Connect but I decided to put my eggs into more than one basket anyway.  I'm still figuring this doohickey out.  But remain calm!  This is me claiming my blog:

Ten on Tuesday - Friendly Sharks, Bad Haircuts and My 1st Husband

 1. You know what kind of day it's going to be when your alarm goes off and you say out loud "Noooo...".

2. I was going through an old forgotten box of photos and found this:
I think this was right before his senior year.  I thought we were so cute in our matching shirts!

 3. This time change blows.

4. Indeed they are!

5. Does having a Hunger Games mocking jay pin on the collar of your jacket make you a nerd?

6. I've had this in my head all morning.  We've all been there.

 7. Saturday morning convo:
Me: I had a dream that Joseph Gordon Levitt was my new boyfriend.
Chris: Good.  Maybe he can pay our damn bills.

 8. Less than a week for the new season of DWTS!  Gets hyped, yall!!.

 9. As much as I love my Leo and think it's an injustice that he keeps getting jipped...these are really funny.
10. There's been a lot of this today.  And I predict a lot more to come...
